Prototypical prepositions are to, until, till, up_to, and through:

  • The show will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 001

  • Add the cider and boil until the liquid has reduced by half. 002

  • If we have survived up_to now what is stopping us from surviving in the future? 003

  • They will be in London from March 24 through May 7. 004

Note that simple Time is used with verbs like end and finish: the event directly described by the PP is the ending, not the thing that ended.
